2. Data We Collect
Account Data
When you create an account, we collect information such as your email address, name, and subscription status. Payments are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, so we do not receive your full payment card details.
Receipt & Financial Data
When you use LedgerMind to scan receipts or log mileage, we process receipt images, extracted merchant and totals data, tax information, dates, and mileage coordinates when you enable location-based tracking. When scanning is requested, receipt data may be sent to AI or OCR providers to extract text and structured fields.
3. How We Use Data
- Provide our automated expense tracking and OCR service
- Verify your subscription status
- Send transactional emails and alerts regarding your account limits
- Comply with legal obligations
4. Data Sharing
We share data only with service providers that help us operate LedgerMind:
- Apple / Google - app distribution, in-app billing, and subscription management
- Infrastructure providers - cloud hosting, storage, backups, and operational logging
- AI / OCR providers - receipt and invoice text extraction when you choose to scan documents
We do not sell your financial data or use it for advertising.
5. Data Retention
- Workspace data: Retained until you delete it, close your account, or an applicable retention limit expires.
- Account data: Retained as needed to operate the service, secure access, and respond to support requests.
- Billing data: Retained as required for app store reconciliation, fraud prevention, and legal obligations.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- Access the data we hold about you

- Request deletion of your account and associated workspace data
